When thinking about the Blue Mountains in Autumn, one will often think of the changing colour of the leaves and enjoying a hot cappuccino in one of our many fabulous cafes. You probably won’t think of immersing yourself in the icy cold clear water which runs straight from the Mountain…
Yet Jenna was a trooper and we were blessed with a gorgeous day. I think you’ll agree that it was a successful day of shooting!
Big thanks to Tamee for the make-up. Vist her website at www.tameerenemakeupartist.com

This week’s session with Giarne was just fabulous!! We visited a secret location that I’ve been wanting to use for ages and I knew that she’d be perfect for it. Giarne and her mum Debbie were troopers – it was overcast, cold and they had to put up with me losing my keys and tripping over my equipment.
But we all had a great time and came away with some amazing images. Thanks again, girls!

Ever wondered what to do with your wedding dress after the wedding is over? If you are like me, your gorgeous expensive gown is still in its acid free box, carefully wrapped in tissue paper and stored never to see the light of day again. We all seem to have the naive belief that our daughters will want to wear them for their wedding, as if fashion will stand still…
Instead of leaving the dress in your wardrobe (or heaven forbid, under your bed), what about using it in a portrait shoot with a difference!! Re-live the glamour of your wedding day without the stress. There are no limits to the possibilities – a lake, the bush, a swimming pool, a junk yard. You and your dress can get as dirty (or remain as clean) as you want.
And if you can’t bear to use your own wedding dress, just let me know. I have a steadily growing collection of simple yet stylish wedding gowns that you can borrow for the day.

My daughter has discovered photography and I’m worried. Now most people reading this blog would wonder what the big deal is. However those people don’t realise that my daughter is just 2 years old. See the problem? It doesn’t matter how careful you try to be, 2 year olds and professional camera equipment just don’t mix well. So I decided that it was time to add another camera to my ever growing collection of photography related gear. Luckily for me, Fisher Price came to the rescue and Jessica is now the proud owner of a “Kid Tough” digital camera.
It all proves that you are never too young (or old!) to pick up a new hobby. Now if I can only get her to hold my reflector and do my retouching…

Wow things have been hectic lately. We are in the process of moving from North Richmond to Blaxland, which is in the lower Blue Mountains at the end of the M4. We’re out of the old house now and into the new one, surrounded by boxes, toys, boxes, furniture, and more boxes.
On another note, I have recently discovered that my ISP has tightened their spam e-mail filter. This has resulted in several “real” e-mails getting blocked. If you have tried to e-mail me in the past 2 months and I haven’t replied, please write back! I’m not ignoring you on purpose (I promise!!). I’ve changed the spam settings so hopefully all my true e-mail will get through from now on! My sincere apologies if you have been effected.
